AUGMENTIN belongs to the group of penicillin antibiotics .
Contains two drugs : amoxicillin ( amoxicillin ) , in the form of amoxycillin trihydrate and clavulanic acid ( clavulanic acid ) , in the form of potassium clavulanate. The combination of two components is known as co-amoxiclav ( co- amoksiklav ) .
AUGMENTIN 156 mg/5ml suspension and Augmentin suspension 312 mg/5ml contain different amounts of amoxycillin and clavulanic acid .
AUGMENTIN suspension 156 mg / 5 ml and AUGMENTIN suspension 312 mg / 5 ml , and contain the following inactive ingredients: Xanthan gum, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose , silica , colloidal silica , succinic acid, dried orange flavor ( 610,271 E) , dry orange flavor (9/ 027108 ) , raspberry flavor, syrup ( golden ) and aspartame , a source of phenylalanine.
